Your Big Day - Your Hair Transplant  Day

It is finally here - your big day.

You’ll be greeted by Dr Young and his team who will explain your procedure to you, and go through risks and consent forms in detail again.

Dr Young will be there with you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave home that afternoon.

Prior to this day, you will be contacted personally by Dr Young, he will check you are all ready. So the day will be no stress at all!

During your initial consultation, Dr Young will discuss the restoration goals with you and draw the hairline to ensure the result you are after is clear. On the morning on your procedure, Dr Young will draw your desired hairline again - this process is crucial to ensure your satisfaction with your desired hairstyle. we will also take a set of photos, which will help us to monitor your progress.

We finalise any medication, assess your vital signs, then go over carefully your consent forms.

As you will be in the theatre room for nearly entire day, we make sure you have music and TV entertainment to your taste so you can immediately feel relaxed and distracted.

Within first 10 minutes of procedure commencement, we will numb the back of your scalp with local numbing injections, and once you feel comfortable we begin the extraction of your follicles. Your hair follicles are taking care of as they rest in specially prepared solution in cooled petri dishes to preserve their vitality. We separate them into groups to make sure we create the density and hair style you want. Once this phase is completed, we prepare to take a break and serve you your personalised lunch.

At Young Hair, we pride ourselves in providing 5 star service in all aspects. We cater to your dietary requirements whether it is keto, vegan, pescatarian, Halal etc. You will be served lunch in your private recovery room, where you can rest, check your phone and enjoy your meal.

After the break, we invite you back to the operation theatre. We then numb the scalp area again and we begin to implant your hair follicles. They are placed to match natural hair direction and density, so your eventual hair growth is natural looking.

Once we have finished the implantation of your hairs, we explain the aftercare procedures.
This involves:

• Bandaging the extraction zone for your journey home and night’s sleep
• Giving you an aftercare take home bag with the spray and materials you require to take care of your precious hairs that have been implanted as well as prescription to pain medication.
• You will also receive an electronic copy of Post Care Plan.

Since you won't be able to drive yourself home, we ask that you are picked up by either friend or family member and taken home.

Dr Young will call you the next day to see how you are doing and will continue to stay in contact with you and schedule post-surgery follow-up appointments.
